How to use the Watermark Maker

  1. 1

    Add your images

Drop in one image or a whole set of pins, or paste a screenshot. Click a thumbnail to preview that image with the watermark.

  2. 2

    Set up the watermark

Type your website or handle, or switch to Logo image and add a PNG. Choose a corner, the center or a tiled pattern, then adjust size, opacity and margin.

  3. 3

    Download

Save the image you are previewing, or download every image at once as a ZIP. Pick JPG for small files or PNG to keep sharp edges on graphics.

Pins get saved, re-pinned and sometimes copied to other sites without a link back. A small watermark with your website name keeps your brand on the image wherever it travels, and it tells people where to find the original. This tool adds a text or logo watermark to as many images as you like and keeps every setting the same across the batch.

Everything happens in your browser. Your photos and logo are never uploaded, the images keep their full resolution, and the tool remembers your last settings on this device so the next batch looks the same.

Where to put a watermark on a pin

For pins you want people to click, a small website name at the bottom center or a bottom corner works best. It brands the pin without getting in the way of the title. Keep the opacity between 60% and 85% so it stays readable on a phone, and leave a little margin so it is not cropped by rounded corners in the feed.

Tiled watermarks are for protecting work you sell or share as a preview, such as printables, photography or digital products. They make the image harder to reuse, but they also make it less pleasant to look at, so use them for previews rather than for normal pins. To brand pins as you design them, the pin maker can add your site name automatically.

Text or logo watermark?

A text watermark with your domain is the most useful on Pinterest because people can type it straight into a browser. A logo looks more polished if your brand is already recognizable. Export your logo as a PNG with a transparent background so it sits cleanly on any photo.

If your images are large, run them through the image compressor afterwards to make the files smaller.

Watermark Maker FAQ

How do I add a watermark to many images at once?

Add all the images to the drop zone, set up the watermark once, then click Download all as ZIP. Every image gets the same watermark, scaled to its own width.

Does a watermark stop people from stealing my pins?

It discourages it and keeps your name on the image, but it cannot stop someone determined to crop or edit it out. A tiled watermark is harder to remove than a corner one.

Will the watermark lower my image quality?

No. The image is drawn at its original size. JPG downloads use high quality compression; choose PNG if you need a lossless file.

Can I use my logo as a watermark?

Yes. Choose Logo image and add your logo file. A PNG with a transparent background gives the cleanest result. Size and opacity work the same way as for text.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. The watermark is drawn in your browser and the files are created on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.
