Pinterest Font Generator

Type once and copy your text in 20 fancy Unicode styles for your Pinterest bio, name or board titles.

Letters and numbers are converted. Punctuation and emojis stay as they are.

Screen readers may spell these characters out or skip them, and Pinterest search will not match them to normal words. Keep keywords in plain text and style one word for decoration.

How to use the Pinterest Font Generator

    1. 1

      Type your text

Enter a name, a word or a short phrase. Every style updates as you type. Letters and numbers are converted, while punctuation stays as it is.

    2. 2

      Find a style you like

Scroll through bold, italic, script, gothic, double-struck, small caps, bubble, wide and more. Some styles have no numbers, so digits stay plain.

    3. 3

      Copy and paste into Pinterest

Tap Copy next to a style, then paste it into your profile, bio or board name. Check how it looks on your phone too, since a few older devices show empty boxes.

Pinterest does not let you pick a font for your profile or board names, but you can paste special Unicode characters that look like bold, italic, script or outlined letters. This generator converts your text into those characters. They are real text, so they copy and paste anywhere that accepts Unicode, including your Pinterest display name, bio and board names.

Use them sparingly. These are mathematical and decorative symbols, not ordinary letters, so screen readers may read them out letter by letter or skip them, and Pinterest search will not match them to normal words. Keep important keywords in plain text and use a fancy style for one decorative word or a short heading.

    Accessibility and search: the trade-off

Fancy Unicode text looks like letters, but to software it is a string of symbols such as "mathematical bold capital L". Screen readers used by blind and low-vision people may spell these out or skip them entirely, which makes a whole bio unreadable for them. Search engines, including Pinterest search, generally treat them as different characters from normal letters, so a board named in script will not show up for the plain word.

A good compromise is plain text for anything people need to read or search, plus one styled word or a text divider for decoration.

Want a real font on your pin images?

This tool is for text fields. For the text on a pin image itself, you can choose from proper web fonts in the add text to image tool or the quote pin maker, which are readable by everyone looking at the picture.

    Pinterest Font Generator FAQ

How do I change the font on Pinterest?

Pinterest has no font setting for profiles or boards. You can paste Unicode styled characters from this generator into text fields, which displays them in a different style. The text on pin images is part of the image, so you choose its font when you design the pin.

Will fancy fonts work in my Pinterest bio and board names?

Most styles display correctly in modern browsers and apps. Some symbols may show as empty boxes on older devices. Board names in fancy text will not match normal searches, so keep important boards in plain text.

Are fancy fonts bad for accessibility?

They can be. Screen readers may read each character by its technical name or skip it. Use styled text for a word or two of decoration, not for your whole bio or display name.

Why are some letters or numbers not converted?

Unicode does not include every letter in every style. Small caps has no special X, for example, and several styles have no digits. Those characters stay plain.

Is this font generator free to use?

Yes. It runs entirely in your browser, with no sign up, and nothing you type is sent anywhere.
