Pinterest Bulk Upload CSV Builder

Fill in your pins, catch the mistakes Pinterest rejects, and download a CSV with the exact column names.

How to use the Pinterest Bulk Upload CSV Builder

    1. 1

      Add your pins

Edit the two sample pins, click Add pin for more, or paste rows from a spreadsheet. A header row with Pinterest's column names is matched by name. Without a header, columns are read in Pinterest's order: Title, Media URL, Pinterest board, Thumbnail, Description, Link, Publish date, Keywords. For a big sheet, Import CSV or Excel works as a bulk mode and loads a whole .csv or .xlsx file at once.

    2. 2

      Fix what the checker flags

Red messages are errors Pinterest is likely to reject, such as a missing media URL or a badly formatted date. Amber messages are warnings, such as a Google Drive share link or a shortened destination link. Use Fill publish dates to schedule pins a few per day.

    3. 3

      Download and upload the CSV

Click Download CSV. In your Pinterest business account, open the menu at the top right, choose Upload .csv or .txt file, and drop the file in. Pinterest emails you when the pins are processed.

Pinterest business accounts can create many pins at once by uploading a CSV file. The catch is the format: the column names have to match, every pin needs a public link to the image or video file, video pins need a thumbnail, and a publish date in the wrong format means the pin is not published. One typo can cost you a whole batch.

This builder writes the file for you. Each pin gets its own card with the eight columns from Pinterest's help page, and every field is checked as you type: title and description length, link format, board name, thumbnail rules for videos and publish date format. You can import an existing CSV or Excel file, paste rows from Google Sheets or Excel, and spread publish dates over the coming days. Nothing is uploaded; your rows are saved only in this browser.

    The columns Pinterest expects

Title (required, up to 100 characters). Media URL (required): a public link to the file itself, typically ending in .jpg, .png or .mp4. Pinterest board (required): the board name, or Board/Section for a section; boards and sections that do not exist yet are created. Thumbnail: required for videos only, as mm:ss, a number of seconds, or an image URL with the same aspect ratio as the video; leave it blank for images.

Description (up to 500 characters). Link: the page the pin sends people to. Publish date: blank publishes right away, a future date like 2026-11-03 schedules the pin, and 2026-11-03T08:00:00 sets the time in UTC. Keywords: a comma separated list of search terms. These rules come from Pinterest's Bulk upload Pins help article, so check it before a large upload in case anything has changed.

    Where to host the images

Pinterest downloads each file from the Media URL, so the link has to open the image itself, not a page that shows it. Uploading pins to your own site's media library and copying the file address is the most reliable option. Share links from Google Drive or Dropbox usually open a preview page and fail.

Pinterest Bulk Upload CSV Builder FAQ

How many pins can I bulk upload to Pinterest at once?

Pinterest's help page says the bulk creation tool takes up to 200 images or videos. If you have more rows, this builder splits them into several CSV files of 200 and downloads them together in a ZIP.

What date format does the Pinterest CSV use?

Year-month-day, like 2026-11-03. To set a time, add it in UTC as 2026-11-03T08:00:00. Without a time, the pin publishes at the same time of day you uploaded the file. A blank date publishes right away.

Why did my bulk upload fail?

The usual causes are a Media URL that points to a web page instead of the file, a missing board name, a video without a thumbnail, a title over 100 characters, or a publish date in the wrong format. The checker on this page flags each of these before you download.

Can I bulk upload pins from Google Sheets?

Yes. Select the cells in Google Sheets, copy them, and paste them into Paste from a spreadsheet. Or download the sheet as a CSV and use Import CSV or Excel. Then check the results here and download a clean file.

Do I need a business account to bulk upload pins?

Yes. Pinterest offers bulk creation from a business account, and the help page says it currently works on desktop only. A business account is free to set up.

    Are my pins uploaded anywhere?

No. The builder runs in your browser and only creates the CSV file. Your rows are kept in this browser's storage so you can come back later; use Clear all to remove them.

Can I add many pins at once from a spreadsheet?

Yes. Click Import CSV or Excel and choose a .csv or .xlsx file. A header row with Pinterest's column names, such as Title, Media URL and Pinterest board, is matched by name. Without one, columns are read in Pinterest's order. Every row becomes a pin card that is checked before you download the CSV.
